Job summary

Care Dorset Ltd seeks a dedicated Care Assistant to provide compassionate personal care and daily support within our settings. You will help with bathing, dressing, mobility and domestic tasks while maintaining dignity and privacy for every individual.

The role offers training and development opportunities, with a shift pattern including weekday and alternate weekend work. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering personal care and support with dignity.
• Ability to perform routine tasks including toileting, washing and mobility assistance.
• Good note-taking and record-keeping in client records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, toileting, washing and transfers as needed.
• Undertake domestic tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Support clients with dignity and privacy.
• Maintain essential records with brief notes on client records.
• Follow health and safety guidelines for manual handling and infection control.
• Work within the Gold Standards Framework.
• Shift pattern includes weekday and alternate weekend shifts.

Job description

Each day as a Care Assistant is different. You will assist with all aspects of personal care and support for the people we support within the setting.

• Undertake personal care duties as required to the relevant client group which will typically include toileting, washing and manual handling (including hoisting) and transfer.
• Undertake domestic tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
• Support the relevant client group in a way that maintains dignity and privacy
• Participate in the maintenance of essential record keeping, through brief written recording on individual client records
• Comply with Health and Safety requirements in respect of manual handling and transfer hoisting and the use of protective equipment to aid infection control
• You would be expected to work within the Gold Standards Framework
• Hours include weekday shifts and alternate weekend shifts
