Upward Care is seeking a compassionate support worker to assist people with learning disabilities in a home setting in South Birmingham. You will help tenants with daily living tasks, participate in activities, and promote safety and wellbeing as part of a friendly team.
Experience is valued but not essential; a full training program will be provided and you will work toward a QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care. Nominally 40 hours weekly with shifts to cover care needs.

The Upward Care team is looking for people who are friendly, positive, and genuinely passionate about supporting others. You will play a key role in offering a person-centred service and ensuring the safety of everyone in our care as part of a kind and supportive team with roles based in South Birmingham. You will be able to support our tenants to enjoy a range of activities, including cooking, shopping and other daily living skills and days out featuring walks and lunches.
Further training will be available to help enhance your skills. This role will require you to have a QCF Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent. If you do not already have this qualification, we will fund this for you as well as your training as long as you are willing to work towards obtaining this on appointment.
Nominally 40 hours per week, subject to achievement of goals and objectives and the covering of vacant shifts.
Experience is advantageous but not necessary. A full programme of training will be offered to candidates who have the ability and enthusiasm to learn with a view to obtaining relevant QCF or equivalent vocational qualifications.
