Job summary

Upward Care is seeking a compassionate support worker to assist people with learning disabilities in a home setting in South Birmingham. You will help tenants with daily living tasks, participate in activities, and promote safety and wellbeing as part of a friendly team.

Experience is valued but not essential; a full training program will be provided and you will work toward a QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care. Nominally 40 hours weekly with shifts to cover care needs.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with people in a care setting.
• Proven experience with people with learning disabilities is preferred.
• Strong numeracy and literacy to complete records and basic tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist tenants with daily living activities.
• Support participation in activities and outings.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to person-centred care.
