Job summary

Agincare in Bridgwater is seeking a Home Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes with daily routines, personal care, meals, and companionship.

You don't need prior care experience; a kind, compassionate attitude is valued. A full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK are required, with shifts including sleeping nights (10pm–7am) and flexible weekends.

Qualifications

• Kind, compassionate and genuinely passionate about helping others.
• Right to work in the UK with at least 12 months remaining.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Support people with daily routines, household tasks and personal care.
• Assist with shopping, meal prep and making tea.
• Provide companionship and a friendly, listening presence.
• Assist with medications as directed.

The Role of a Home Carer:

• Supporting people with their daily routines, including household tasks and personal care
• Helping with shopping, preparing nutritious meals, and making a comforting cup of tea
• Providing companionship, a listening ear, and friendly conversation
• Helping with medication

About you:

Youll bring:

• A minimum of 12 months remaining on your right to work in the UK (please note we are currently unable to offer sponsorship)

• Availability for Sleeping Nights shifts (10pm-7am)
