Job summary

Agincare is hiring a Home Care Assistant in Bridgwater to support clients with daily routines and personal care in their own homes. You’ll help with shopping, meals, light tasks, and provide companionship to improve wellbeing.

No prior care experience is mandatory; a caring nature and a willingness to learn are key. A full UK driving licence and a commitment to flexible shifts are required. Sponsorship is not available at this time.

Qualifications

• A warm, caring and compassionate approach to supporting others.
• Full UK driving licence is required to enable home visits.
• Right to work in the UK must be valid for at least 12 months; sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Support people with daily routines, household tasks and personal care.
• Assist with shopping, meals and making tea; provide encouragement and companionship.
• Offer a friendly presence and active listening to brighten clients’ days.
• Assist with medication where required and safe handling of duties.

The Role of a Home Carer:

• Supporting people with their daily routines, including household tasks and personal care
• Helping with shopping, preparing nutritious meals, and making a comforting cup of tea
• Providing companionship, a listening ear, and friendly conversation
• Helping with medication

About you:

Above all, we’re looking for someone kind, compassionate , and genuinely passionate about helping others . You don’t need previous care experience or qualifications; if you have the right attitude and a caring nature, we can teach you the rest.

You’ll bring:

• A warm , caring, and compassionate approach to supporting others
• Strong people skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
• A supportive , professional, and team-focused mindset
• A minimum of 12 months remaining on your right to work in the UK (please note we are currently unable to offer sponsorship)
• A full UK driving licence
• Availability for Sleeping Nights shifts (10pm-7am)
