Job summary

Randstad Care is seeking an experienced support worker to join our team delivering vital care across the Scottish Islands. You will assist with daily tasks, support independence, and build meaningful relationships with service users in community, home, and residential settings.

The placement offers a minimum 12 weeks with accommodation provided, weekly pay, and opportunities for PVG/SSSC support and eLearning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of UK care experience (residential or community-based).
• Up-to-date training in Moving & Handling and Medication Administration.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and self-reliance skills.
• Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle (essential due to remote locations).
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).

About the Role

We have flexible opportunities across community care, care-at-home, and residential care settings. You will support individuals with diverse needs-including elderly care, dementia, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and challenging behavior-helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and well being.

Assisting with daily tasks, meal preparation, medication administration, moving and handling, and general domiciliary support while building meaningful relationships with service users.

Placement Details

Minimum 12-week commitment (with frequent extension options). Accommodation is fully provided while on placement.
