Job summary

Randstad Care is recruiting Care Home and Community Support Workers for 3-month block-booking contracts across Scotland's islands, offering £23.00 per hour umbrella and 45+ hours per week. Roles include Care Home Support with 07:00-22:00 shifts or nights 22:00-07:00, and Community Support with 07:00-23:00 shifts.

Driving licence required for both roles, and travel across Shetland, Orkney, Western Isles, Argyll & Bute is involved.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience supporting older adults.
• Skilled in personal care, medication administration, and safe moving & handling.
• Fully competent with lone working.

Responsibilities

• Care Home Support Worker: deliver hands-on support in residential care settings and cover long days, early/late splits, or night shifts as required.

Role Options:

• Care Home Support Worker: Deliver hands-on support in residential care settings. Shifts cover long days (07:00-22:00), early/late splits, or night shifts (22:00-07:00). A driving licence is strictly required.
• Community Support Worker: Provide care for adults in their own homes. Shift patterns vary between 07:00-23:00. Requirements: Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle (mandatory for Orkney).

Note: Due to client personal care requirements, female candidates are currently preferred, though male applications are welcome for select roles.
