McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a Care Assistant to join the team at our Thomas Court development in Pen-y-lan, Cardiff. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care to residents and supporting their daily wellbeing.

You will assist with housekeeping, activities, appointments, transport, and shopping, working in a friendly team in a Retirement Living Plus setting. QCF Health and Social Care Level 2 is preferred, with benefits including holiday allowance, pension, and staff support programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support environment preferred.
• Strong customer service mindset and compassion.
• Able to work well with residents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care to residents to support independent living.
• Carry out housekeeping and domestic tasks across the site, including apartment cleans.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities that support health and wellbeing.
• Assist residents with appointments, transport, shopping, and visits.
