Job summary

McCarthy & Stone Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a Registered Care Manager to lead the Thomas Court retirement living development, overseeing day-to-day operations, care delivery, and community life with emphasis on independence and dignity.

You will provide strong leadership to the care team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality improvements while coordinating with sales and rentals to sustain occupancy and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Confident leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing a care or housing-with-care service.
• Knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent people management and organisational skills.
• Experience within retirement living, extra care, or domiciliary care settings.
• Ability to manage budgets and service delivery to a high standard.
