Job summary

Holmes House is a welcoming residential care home in the United Kingdom, dedicated to high-quality, person-centred care for elderly residents, including those with dementia. We offer short-term and long-term placements tailored to individual needs.

As a care team member, you will provide hands-on personal care and support residents to maintain independence, build trust and enjoy meaningful daily activities within a safe and respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting residents to live with dignity, comfort and as much independence as possible.
• Providing all aspects of personal care as a hands-on role.
• Assisting with personal hygiene, washing, dressing and grooming.
• Helping with eating and drinking and encouraging good hydration.
• Providing continence care with dignity and comfort.
• Supporting mobility and daily activities.
• Building positive relationships to help residents feel safe, respected and valued.
• Participating in the activities programme and encouraging participation.
• Working as part of a supportive team to deliver consistent, high-quality care.

What The Role Involves

As a member of our care team, you will play an important role in supporting our residents to live with dignity, comfort and as much independence as possible.

This is a hands-on care role, and you will need to be comfortable and prepared to provide all aspects of personal care, including:

• Supporting residents with personal hygiene, washing, dressing and grooming.
• Assisting with eating and drinking, including supporting residents who may need encouragement or assistance with meals and fluids.
• Providing continence care and support, including changing and maintaining residents’ dignity and comfort.
• Supporting residents with mobility and everyday activities.
• Providing compassionate care to residents living with dementia and other health conditions.
• Building positive relationships with residents and helping them feel safe, respected and valued.
• Taking part in our activities programme and encouraging residents to participate where appropriate.
• Working as part of a supportive team to ensure residents receive consistent, high-quality care.
