An exciting opportunity has arisen at Broomgrove Trust Nursing Home for the position of Care Assistant on nights. This role involves providing high-quality care to our residents under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Join a friendly, professional environment within our charitable organization. We maintain a good level of staffing across our 40-bed unit during each shift.

About You:

• Care assistant/Health care assistant with at least 1 year of experience
• Professional, friendly attitude
• Quick learner, able to embody staff values
• Motivated and enthusiastic about mentoring and coaching staff
• Drive to deliver excellent customer service and quality care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of care practices, legislation, regulations, and standards

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet residents' physical, psychological, and spiritual needs
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ and carers’ needs to the supervising nurse
• Maintain a safe clinical environment and report issues to the Nurse in Charge
• Use resources effectively, including equipment and supplies
• Report incidents and adhere to policies on accidents, violence, and fire safety
• Provide person-centered care in line with policies and procedures
• Support residents and carers in maintaining their individuality
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information
• Record tasks using the in-house system, Predicaire, on provided devices

Work Hours:

Full-time options: 30 hours/3 days per week or 40 hours/4 shifts per week (including weekends). Only one vacancy available for either 30 or 40 hours per week.

Requirements:

The position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and successful completion of a three-month probation period. Broomgrove does not offer sponsorship.
