Job summary

Beaumont Health Care in Northern Ireland is seeking a caring and reliable Care Assistant to support residents with daily activities, dignity and independence. You will help with washing, dressing, eating and maintaining personal hygiene while promoting comfort and wellbeing in a warm home environment.

You will observe residents’ needs, communicate clearly with colleagues and families, and contribute to a respectful, safe living space.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a care home setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivering quality personal care to each resident, supporting daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating and maintaining personal hygiene.
• Understanding residents' communication needs and adapting communication to individuals and families.
• As a team player with good communication, patient and flexible to changing environments.
• Good observation skills, a sense of humour and a positive outlook.
• Full training and development provided; experience in retail, customer service or other people-focused environments is welcome.

About the role

As a Care Assistant you will be:

• Delivering quality personal care to each of our residents, supporting them with daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating and maintaining personal hygiene.

• Understanding our resident's communication needs and adapting your communication Support to the individuals and their families, offer confidence and reassurance.

• As team player who works well with others, a natural easy communicator, patient and understanding with the flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.

• Good observation skills, a sense of humour and a positive outlook.

• You may have no experience as a Care Assistant so we offer full training and development - you may have worked in a retail, supermarket, customer service, warehouse or other people focused environments or just returning to work

The working shift patterns on a rota over seven days:

8.00am - 8.00pm

8.00am - 2.00pm

2.00pm - 8.00pm

8.00pm - 8.00am
