Job summary

Beaumont Health Care is seeking a Care Assistant to join our bank staff for day and night shifts at our Northern Ireland location. The role focuses on delivering high-quality personal care, supporting residents with daily activities, and communicating effectively with residents and families.

Full training is provided, and experience in people-facing roles is welcomed. Shifts run across seven days with a rota including days, evenings and nights.

• Previous experience within a care home setting.

Responsibilities

• Delivering quality personal care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating and maintaining personal hygiene.
• Understanding residents' communication needs and adapting communication to individuals and families, offering confidence and reassurance.
• Being a supportive team player, communicating well, patient and adaptable to a changing environment.
• Maintaining good observation skills, a positive attitude and a sense of humour.
• Full training and development opportunities are provided; prior experience in retail, customer service or other people-focused roles is welcomed.

About the role

As a Care Assistant you will be:

• Delivering quality personal care to each of our residents, supporting them with daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating and maintaining personal hygiene.

• Understanding our resident’s communication needs and adapting your communication Support to the individuals and their families, offer confidence and reassurance.

• As team player who works well with others, a natural easy communicator, patient and understanding with the flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.

• Good observation skills, a sense of humour and a positive outlook.

• You may have no experience as a Care Assistant so we offer full training and development – you may have worked in a retail, supermarket, customer service, warehouse or other people focused environments or just returning to work

The working shift patterns on a rota over seven days:

8.00am - 8.00pm

8.00am - 2.00pm

2.00pm - 8.00pm

8.00pm - 8.00am
