Job summary

Beaumont Health Care in Northern Ireland is seeking a Care Assistant for full-time hours (no sponsorship). You will provide quality personal care to residents, supporting daily activities, while communicating effectively with residents, families and the care team.

Training is provided, and the role welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds who are aged 18 or over. The position offers a structured rota across seven days, with shifts from early to night.

• Willingness to undergo full training and development.
• Ability to work in a care home environment.
• Previous experience in retail, customer service or returning to work is acceptable.
• Minimum age 18 to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality personal care to residents, assisting with washing, dressing, eating and hygiene.

• Work well with others as a team member in a changing environment.

About the role

As a Care Assistant you will be:

• Delivering quality personal care to each of our residents, supporting them with daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating and maintaining personal hygiene.

• Understanding our resident’s communication needs and adapting your communication Support to the individuals and their families, offer confidence and reassurance.

• As team player who works well with others, a natural easy communicator, patient and understanding with the flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.

• Good observation skills, a sense of humour and a positive outlook.

• You may have no experience as a Care Assistant so we offer full training and development – you may have worked in a retail, supermarket, customer service, warehouse or other people focused environments or just returning to work

The working shift patterns on a rota over seven days:

8.00am - 8.00pm

8.00am - 2.00pm

2.00pm - 8.00pm

8.00pm - 8.00am
