Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a caring and reliable person to join the Allachburn Team in Deeside. The role involves flexible, evening and weekend shifts from 21:45 to 07:45, with full training and support provided.

The post is regulated work with PVG checks and requires SSSC registration within 3 months of employment, two references (one from current/most recent employer), and completion of pre-employment checks. Fixed term until 28 March 2027.

Job description

Come work with the Allachburn Team in our prominent home in the heart of royal Deeside. We are looking for a caring and empathetic person who is diligent, enthusiastic and hard working. The right candidate will be given full training and support and will become part of the established team.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

The hourly rate is £14.71 per hour increasing to £15.13 after 2 years of service.

These vacancies will require flexible, evening and weekend working.

Shift times are 21:45 to 7:45, worked on a rolling rota which includes some weekend working.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.? Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
