Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a candidate to provide high-quality care and support, ensuring dignity and involvement in care decisions. The role requires flexible rota arrangements, including evenings and weekends, with a commitment to continuous service improvement.

Applicants must join the PVG scheme or complete an update, provide two references (one from current or recent employer), and obtain SSSC registration within three months of starting.

Job Description

To support the provision of high-quality care and support to individuals which is right for them; to ensure that people are treated with dignity and respect and are enabled to fully participate in decisions about their care.

This role will require flexible working, following a rota pattern which will include evenings and weekends.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Please note, the position advertised does not meet the salary threshold required for sponsorship.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.

This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.
