Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a care and support worker to provide services in a very sheltered housing facility. The role requires flexibility for day or night and weekend work, with a fixed night shift of 9:15pm–7:45am once per week.

You will be responsible for waking night duties, including domestic and tenant-related tasks, and must obtain SSSC registration within 3 months. PVG scheme (or update) and an overseas criminal record check may be required; two references, one from current/most

This role requires flexible, day or night and weekend working.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post will be 1x 10 hour night per week, shift times 9.15pm-7.45am which includes a half hour unpaid break. This is a waking night with domestic and tenant related duties.

Requirements

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
