Job summary

Athena Care Homes are seeking a motivated Care Assistant for Alex Wood House Care Home in Cambridge. You will contribute to high-quality care, support residents, and participate in activities that promote well-being.

Our home offers development options, fully funded apprenticeships to gain NVQ levels 2/3, and a supportive team. Flexible shifts across days and nights with a 12.1% uplift in holiday pay included.

Qualifications

• Care experience is desirable; NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care is supported to achieve.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care in the home, ensuring ongoing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents' care.
• Assist residents during meals to ensure suitable meals.
• Participate in activities to promote person-centred care.
• Attend and complete all statutory, mandatory and developmental training.
