Athena Care Homes are seeking a Care Assistant at Avocet Court Care Home in Ipswich. You will deliver high-quality care to residents, support daily activities, and participate in care planning under the Team Leader.

Training and development options including apprenticeships are available to help you advance toward NVQ levels. The role offers a 44-hour week with 12-hour shifts on a rota from Monday to Sunday, and a competitive hourly rate of £12.71.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care position is desirable, but training can be provided.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care is highly desirable and funded where needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care in the home with continuous assessment and planning of residents' needs.
• Assist residents during meals to ensure suitable nutrition.
• Participate in activities to promote person-centered care and attend required training.
