Job summary

Valley Care is recruiting a Care Assistant for Harrison Park Extra Care. The role offers £12.71 per hour (block pay) with paid holidays, a company mobile phone, and full training provided. 1 PT position is available, 07:00–15:00, on a 2-week rolling rota (Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun in Week 1).

You will provide life-changing care for vulnerable adults and assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and medications. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and demonstrate compassion,

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist service users with personal care (washing, bathing, toilet).
• Support mobility and use of aids and equipment.
• Carry out light domestic tasks (beds, cleaning, laundry, tidying).
• Prepare meals, snacks and drinks for residents.
• Assist with administration of medications as directed.
• Support clients on social visits and access to shops.

We currently have the following opening available:

• 1x PT position 07.00 - 15.00

Both positions are working on a 2-week rolling rota, with set working days:

• Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday

You’ll provide life-changing care and support that enables vulnerable adults of all ages to live fulfilling lives.

Job Description:

• Our care assistants are responsible for assisting service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toilet arrangements.
• Helping service users overcome any mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including helping in the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes
• Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks
• Support with administrating medication.
• Assisting clients on social visits and access to shops.

Requirements:

• Have a right to work within the UK
• No previous experience is necessary, but you will need to demonstrate real compassion, be an excellent communicator and problem solver, and be committed to delivering high-quality, respectful care
