Job summary

Valley Care in Stockport is hiring care and support workers for our new extra care scheme based in the Cheadle area, supporting adults aged 55+. Both full-time and part-time roles are available with early, late shifts and alternate weekends.

You will provide life-changing care and support to help vulnerable adults live fulfilling lives. Full training is provided with paid induction and ongoing training, with opportunities for progression and qualifications funding.

Qualifications

• Our care workers assist with personal care including washing and bathing.
• Ability to support mobility and use of aids and equipment.
• Domestic tasks such as beds, tidying, laundry and light cleaning.
• Help with meals and drinks, including snacks.
• Support with administering medication and daily routines.
• Assistance with social visits and activities.

Responsibilities

• Our care workers are responsible for assisting service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toilet arrangements.
• Helping service users overcome mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including aids and equipment.
• Domestic tasks such as making beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning and laundry.
• Assist with preparing meals and drinks.
• Support with administering medication.
• Assist clients on social visits and activities.
