Job summary

Care By Us is recruiting compassionate Care Assistants to support clients in Stevenage and surrounding areas. You will provide person-centred care in clients’ homes with full training provided. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this community-based role.

Guaranteed hours and enhanced weekend pay are available. The role offers local work with paid mileage and opportunities to fund NVQ/Diploma training.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Providing dignified personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and continence support.
• Supporting clients with their medication, including reminders and safe administration.
• Assisting with mobility, transfers and the safe use of aids and equipment.
• Preparing nutritious meals and providing support at mealtimes.
• Helping with light household duties, including laundry and making beds.
• Providing companionship, conversation and emotional support.
• Supporting clients to attend appointments and stay connected to families and communities.
• Maintaining accurate care and support records.
• Responding safely to emergencies.
• Working closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals.
