Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Care Assistant at Southbourne Beach Care Home, part of a UK-wide elderly care network. You will support residents with personal care, hygiene and daily activities while safeguarding dignity and independence. DBS clearance and right-to-work checks are required, with induction and training provided.

The role requires flexibility to cover various duties at short notice, and you will work as part of a caring team focused on resident wellbeing and safety.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication
• Initiative and respect towards residents and others in the home
• Ability to carry out reasonable instructions from other team members
• Flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice

Responsabilités

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team
• Assist residents with personal hygiene, preserving independence and dignity
• Recognise clinical risks and escalate them promptly (weight loss, sores, falls, infection)
• Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting dignity and individuality
• Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks
