Job summary

Southbourne Beach Care Home in Bournemouth, part of Avery Healthcare Group, is seeking a Care Assistant to deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team in providing continuous resident care.

We offer induction and training; no experience required. DBS check will be funded by Avery; applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and be flexible to cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Be an efficient worker who can follow instructions from the team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team to ensure continuity of services.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene while promoting independence and dignity.
• Identify clinical risks (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections) and escalate promptly.
• Communicate courteously with residents and visitors, respecting their dignity.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other responsibilities will include:

Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.

• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and elevate any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
