Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care Assistant to support people to live independently and safely in their own homes. You don’t need prior care experience; kindness, reliability and a genuine desire to help others are what matter.

We provide full training and ongoing support to help you thrive. Shifts include weekends and evenings, and you’ll build meaningful relationships while assisting with personal care, household tasks, and medication administration in line with care plans.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Kind, adaptable, people-first mindset.
• Willingness to learn. No prior care experience needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs to keep customers safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
