Job summary

Helping Hands is hiring a Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes across a flexible weekend and evening shift pattern. You don’t need previous care experience; kindness and reliability are what we’re looking for, and full training will be provided.

You’ll help with personal care, mobility, light household tasks and medication administration according to care plans, enabling clients to live independently with dignity.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm companionship and support in customers' homes.

We have a variety of shifts available covering weekends and evenings.

What you’ll do

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs, helping customers stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
