Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to support people in their own homes across the local area. You’ll provide companionship, help with daily living tasks, and encourage independence with dignity and respect.

No prior care experience is required; full training will be provided. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are preferred to enable you to reach clients efficiently.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide warm companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care (washing, bathing, dressing, toileting).
• Assist with mobility needs to help customers stay safe.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel cared for.
