Job summary

Helping Hands is looking for a Care Assistant to support people at home across weekends and evenings. You’ll be a kind, reliable, people-first person with no prior care experience needed and with a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

You’ll provide companionship, help with personal care, mobility, housework and errands, while earning competitive pay and enjoying benefits such as paid holiday, pension and flexible shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care (washing, bathing, dressing, toileting).
• Assist with mobility and safety during daily activities.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.

What you’ll do
