Job summary

Abbey Healthcare Kendal is seeking a dedicated care assistant to provide personalised care and promote residents' independence, supporting daily living activities and participating in light duties.

You will follow individual care plans, monitor wellbeing, assist with bathing, dressing, meals, and record observations; this is an in-person role based in Kendal with no sponsorship or visa support.

Qualifications

• Experience in the care sector preferred.
• NVQ level 2 desirable.
• Interest in caring for service users.

Responsibilities

• Understand and provide care for residents meeting individual needs.
• Read care plans to promote continuity of care.
• Complete and record documentation including meals, fluids, turning charts, and daily notes.
• Assist with daily hygiene, dressing, and mobility while promoting independence.
• Support residents in activities and engage with families where appropriate.
• Report hazards, observe DoLs guidance, and participate in mandatory training.
• Be a valued member of the care team and adhere to policies.
