Job summary

HC-One in Kendal is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead a team and deliver personalised care with dignity and independence for residents. You will support a Registered Nurse and Care Manager, and contribute to care plans that respect each resident’s history and needs.

You will be involved in activities, documentation, and communication with families while pursuing Level 2/3 qualifications and maintaining a compassionate, inclusive approach to care.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care is preferred.
• Level 3 qualification in Adult Social Care or equivalent is preferred.
• Background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
• Positive energy and ability to get along with people.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Care Assistants.
• Maintain the highest standards of care.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through activities.
• Assist Registered Nurse and Care Manager and administer medication.
• Maintain accurate records and build strong team relationships.
