Job summary

Bluebird Care Vale of Glamorgan is seeking a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team and help us set the standard in home care. You will support customers with daily living in their own homes, working either independently or with a supportive team, and you will contribute to compassionate, high-quality care.

We offer evening shifts on Thursdays–Sundays with flexible patterns, expert training, guaranteed hours contracts after probation, and opportunities for career progression.

• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential; full training provided.

Due to growing demand, we are seeking carers who can provide evening availability on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. However, open to other availability.

Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing essential personal care and companionship
• Assisting with meal prep, shopping, and household tasks

• A set amount of PAID hours for E-Learning
• PAID shadowing shifts
• Guaranteed Hours Contracts available after probation

Competitive Pay:

• £13.45 per hour
• £20.00 per hour Christmas day, Boxing Day and New years day

Requirements

• A Full UK driving licence and access to a car
• To be living in the local area
• The ability to work alternate weekends
• To commit to working a minimum of one evening shift per week
• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Ability to follow care plans
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided.
• ABI experience is also desirable, but not essential.
