Job summary

Bluebird Care Cardiff and the Vale is seeking a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our expert team. You will support customers in their own homes with personal care, meals, medication management and daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity.

We offer paid training hours, paid shadowing shifts, guaranteed hours after probation, and clear career progression. Competitive hourly pay includes enhanced rates on holidays, with discounts via the Blue Light Card.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Living in the local area.
• Ability to work alternate weekends.
• Commit to working a minimum of one evening shift per week.
• Care experience is beneficial but not required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

• PAID shadowing shifts

Requirements

• A Full UK driving licence and access to a car
• To be living in the local area
• The ability to work alternate weekends
• To commit to working a minimum of one evening shift per week
• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Ability to follow care plans
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided.
• ABI experience is also desirable, but not essential.
