Job summary

Bluebird Care – Where you change lives is seeking a Caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our local Care Expert Team in Berwick-upon-Tweed. You’ll support customers in daily living, helping them stay safe and comfortable at home, either independently or as part of a supportive team.

Key duties include delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care; assisting with personal care, meals, and medications; and light housekeeping.

Qualifications

• We require a Full Driving Licence and your own reliable vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Willingness to work alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for
