Job summary

Bluebird Care Market Harborough & Oadby is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our expert team and help our clients stay safe and independent at home. You will work with a supportive team while delivering compassionate, personalised care.

We offer paid travel time, mileage and a full induction with ongoing expert training. Flexible shift patterns, uniform and PPE are provided, along with a friendly 24/7 support network to help you deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Experience as a care worker is beneficial but not essential.
• Compassionate, patient and reliable in delivering high-quality home care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care in customers' homes.
• Assist with personal care, meals, and daily living tasks.
• Support with medications following care plans.
• Carry out light housework and meal planning as needed.
• Be a friendly, dependable presence for clients and their families.

Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for

Requirements

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Right to work in the UK without requiring spοnsοrship or vіsa transfer
• Previous experience as a support worker, healthcare assistant, carer or care worker would be beneficial but not essential
• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Ability to follow care plans
• Previous healthcare assistant experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided
