Job summary

Mapplewell Manor care home in Barnsley is hiring a Care Assistant (Days) to provide personal and social care to residents in line with care plans and MHA values. You will act as a keyworker for a group of residents, support admissions and contribute to dementia care when needed.

You will join a supportive team, work 39 hours per week, and be part of an organisation that values wellbeing, training and career development, with DBS checks covered and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in caring for older people preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to be trained to Level 1 or 2 in social care.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Able to work flexibly across weekends and on a rota.

Responsibilities

• Act as a keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Participate in developing and reviewing individual care plans, including for residents with dementia.
• Provide personal and social care in line with care plans, promoting wellbeing and independence.
• Uphold safeguarding, infection control and health & safety practices.
