Job summary

MHA – The Homestead care home in Carterton is looking for a dedicated care assistant to support residents with daily personal and social care, ensuring dignity and independence in a warm, respectful environment.

You will join a supportive team, follow care plans, participate in safeguarding and infection control, and engage with residents to promote wellbeing. A flexible rota incl. weekends, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to be trained in social care (Level 1 or 2 encouraged).

Responsibilities

• Act as keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Develop and review individual care plans, including residents with dementia.
• Provide personal and social care in line with care plans to promote wellbeing.
• Uphold safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety practices.
