Job summary

Evermore Care Homes is seeking a dedicated Day Care Assistant to join Astley View in Chorley. You will deliver person-centred care to elderly residents in a modern, purpose-built environment, supporting them across daily activities and personal care with a focus on quality and compassion.

The role offers 38.5 hours per week, daytime shifts on a two-week rolling rota, and a competitive pay rate of £13.45 per hour with overtime available.

Qualifications

• Experience in adult social care or equivalent.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents and the wider team.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including washing, dressing, eating and toileting.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as dusting and bed linen changes.
• Build rapport with residents, staff and families while maintaining confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care.

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.45 per hour + Overtime £14.95 per hour

Hours: 38.5 hours per week, 8am - 8pm shifts on a two-week rolling rota:

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Evermore Care is seeking compassionate Care Assistant (Days) to join the team at Astley View, our state-of-the-art, purpose build, luxury care home in Chorley. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to elderly residents in a modern and innovative environment, across our brand new community. Main Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional personal care, including washing, dressing, eating, and toileting.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed linens.
• Build strong rapport with residents, staff, and families while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate seamlessly within the multidisciplinary team to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.

Experience Required

• Previous experience (either personal or work-based) within adult social care
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents and the wider team.
• Strong understanding of patient confidentiality.
