Role: Care Assistant – Day shifts - 22h to 44h per week

The role of a Care Assistant is vital in supporting residents within Orchard homes. You will ensure everyone is cared for with dignity and respect, engaged in their support, and participate in meaningful activities tailored to their needs.

Main Duties:

1. Enable residents to remain as independent as possible, providing support such as personal care (washing, dressing, oral care).
2. Be understanding and patient, encouraging participation in leisure activities, supporting outside appointments and outings.
3. Maintain cleanliness by making beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, and ensuring the home remains welcoming.
4. Assist with serving meals and drinks, presenting food attractively, and supporting residents during mealtimes.
5. Comply with statutory and legal requirements, including Health & Safety, COSHH, and Care Standards Act, and adhere to Infection Prevention and Control policies.
