Job summary

Choices Homecare, part of the Optimo Care Group, is seeking compassionate domiciliary care workers to cover the Oldham region. The role supports individuals to live safely and independently at home, with flexible zero-hour contracts and mileage reimbursement.

Shifts include 3:00pm–10:00pm weekdays and weekends, with Sundays in mornings/full days preferred. The job emphasizes personal care, daily living support, and maintaining dignity, with full training provided and a driving licence/editable

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with personal care needs such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans.

• Promote independence and encourage service users to engage in daily living tasks.
• Build positive relationships with individuals and their families.
• Support emotional well-being and recognise signs of distress or changes in behaviour.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Respect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries.

Choices Homecare are seeking compassionate Domiciliary Care Workers for our locations across the Oldham region. Supporting individuals to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own home and community, empowering them to live the life they choose. About Choices Homecare

Choices Homecare are proudly part of the Optimo Care Group that supports service users across the UK with over 1,500 dedicated employees and a strong presence across multiple regions. We collaborate closely with local authorities, healthcare providers, and care professionals to deliver outcome-focused care.

Working hours:

Our service provides care seven days a week between 7:00am and 10:00pm. We welcome applications from candidates seeking both full-time and part-time hours. Our Oldham service is predominantly looking for individuals available between 3:00pm and 10:00pm, Monday to Friday, and for full-day shifts at weekends. Please indicate your preferred working days and hours on the pre-screen application form. We're particularly looking to cover regular Sundays (Mornings/ Full Days).

We’re proud to offer flexible zero-hour contracts where you can choose to work as many hours as you’d like.

Please note: this role is paid for care delivery time only, with mileage between calls reimbursed at 30p per mile. This is not a block pay position

Key Responsibilities of a Care Worker:

• UK Driving licence and own vehicle is essential within all routes/locations (We pay 30p per mile fuel allowance)
