Job summary

Unique Senior Care is seeking a Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes with flexible hours, up to 30 per week, centred around 09:30–14:00 and including travel between visits. Benefits include mileage reimbursement and weekend/bank holiday rate enhancements.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence, access to a car, and business insurance.

• Previous experience in care work is desirable but not essential – full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care support (bathing, toileting, dressing).
• Administer medications safely as per guidance.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and encourage wellbeing.
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary needs.
• Support with mobility assistance (e.g. transfers to chairs/wheelchairs).
• Help with light housekeeping and maintain a safe environment.
• Keep accurate care records and daily observations.

Pay: £14.60 per hour / Weekend Rate £15.00 / Bank Holiday Rate £29.20 per hour.

Hours: Full-time & part-time available (contracted up to 30 hours).

Mileage paid at 35p per mile (HMRC reclaim option).
