Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. You will assist residents with their personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity, and respect. You will also recognize and understand clinical risk areas in residents, and act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.

  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
