Pay rate: £13-£14 per hour (Monthly Pay)
Shift Pattern: Monday, Thursday, and Friday (15:45-10pm) & Saturday (8am-8pm)
We have a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in their family home in Portsmouth. This person has a Brain Injury, a communication disorder, and epilepsy, but these do not define them. They have a great sense of humor and enjoy hobbies such as visiting day centres, shopping, and playing with action figures. To support their outings, local knowledge of Portsmouth and a full UK Driving Licence are required.
Enriching activities are a key part of your support, and an empathetic approach is essential to make a positive impact. You should have previous experience with Brain Injury and Epilepsy.
What will your shift involve?
You will provide high-quality care on a 2:1 basis, ensuring compassionate and tailored support. Responsibilities include engaging in meaningful activities, taking the individual out into the community to promote social interaction and well-being, supporting household tasks, and maintaining a comfortable, organized living environment. Clear and confident communication in their preferred manner is vital to build trust.
