Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care Assistant to provide warm companionship and practical support in customers’ homes. No prior care experience is required as full training is provided, with emphasis on kindness, reliability, and helping others stay independent and safe.

You’ll join an inclusive, purpose-driven team offering full training, flexible shifts, and opportunities for development. Driving is required to visit clients, with mileage paid and access to a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs, helping customers stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
