Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care Assistant to provide compassionate, in-home support to customers who rely on our services. You’ll help with daily activities, mobility and personal care, ensuring clients stay safe and comfortable in their own homes.

No prior care experience is needed as full training is provided. The role offers flexible shifts, paid mileage, and pathways to recognised qualifications within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training provided.
• UK driving licence required to perform home visits.
• Right to Work in the UK is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their homes.
• Support with personal care, including bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility, helping customers stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medications in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to prescriptions.
• Offer calm, respectful support that makes customers feel truly cared for.
