Job summary

Helping Hands is hiring a Care Assistant to support people in their homes across the community. You don’t need prior care experience; full training is provided and you’ll work with a supportive team focused on dignity and independence for clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing and dressing.
• Assist with mobility and help customers stay safe and independent.
• Oversee basic household tasks, meals and errands as needed.
• Administer medication in line with care plans.
• Offer calm, respectful support that makes clients feel cared for.
• Maintain notes and communicate with supervisors as required.

What you’ll do

• Assist with mobility needs, helping customers stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
