Job summary

Helping Hands is hiring a Care Assistant to provide compassionate support in customers' homes, helping them stay independent and safe. No previous care experience is required as full training is provided, with flexibility in shifts and a focus on meaningful, person-centered support.

You'll assist with personal care, mobility, medication administration per care plans, and daily tasks like cooking and shopping, while enjoying benefits such as paid mileage, holidays and pension.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs, helping customers stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
