Job summary

Cinnamon Care Collection is seeking a Care Assistant for Emerson Park, a luxury care village near Swanley. The role is bank/ ad-hoc, covering annual leave and sickness, with day and night shifts as needed. You will join a caring team dedicated to resident comfort and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate has NVQ level 2 or equivalent and a real passion for supporting residents’ independence, with induction and training provided to develop your career within the home.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualifications preferred.
• Physically able to carry out duties with or without aids.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Flexible and able to work day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Care for residential and dementia residents with compassion.
• Assist on a rolling rota covering annual leave and adhoc sickness.
• Work as part of a close-knit care team to promote independence.
• Support residents to maintain choice and individuality.

Emerson Park is a luxurious Care Village situated in Hextable, near Swanley. This stunning care village comprises 47 independent living apartments as well as an 85 bedded nursing, residential and dementia care home.

We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and reliable care assistants to be part of our care team looking after our residential and dementia residents to work on an ‘as and when’ basis to cover annual leave and adhoc sickness. Rotas are planned in advance so you will be given notice of days/weeks to be covered which will include day and/or night shifts.

Our Care Assistants must have a real passion for care and want to work as part of a close-knit team supporting each other, and wanting to promote choice, individuality and independence to our residents at all times.

We are looking to recruit experienced care assistants, ideally with an NVQ qualification and with the desire to further their career within our home. We offer a comprehensive induction, mentorship, support and training and encourage career development.

Person Specification

• Physically and medically able to carry out duties and responsibilities with or without assistive aids
• NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualifications if not willingness to attend
• Team player, self-motivated, proactive, flexible and adaptable
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload and work under pressure
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
