Job summary

CCH is seeking a compassionate member of our complex care team to support a young person in his home and community in Sheerness. You will deliver person-centred care, including personal care and infection control, within a supportive team environment.

The role emphasizes emotional resilience, reliability and the ability to build trusting relationships with the young person and his family, across shifts that include evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex care is essential for this position prior to interview.
• Knowledge of Autism or ADHD.
• Ability to read social cues of non-verbal clients.
• Ability to interpret body language or to use PECS.
• Consistency, emotional resilience & the ability to build trust.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care including personal care and infection prevention/control.
• Provide consistent supervision to ensure safety and wellbeing at home and in the community.
• Support a young person with Autism, ADHD and developmental delays in daily activities.

What you'll do

We are supporting a young gentleman in his teens with Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, and PICA, and are looking for a compassionate, reliable individual with strong emotional resilience to join our established team. This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will provide person-centred care, including personal care support, infection prevention and control, and consistent supervision to ensure his safety and wellbeing at all times, both at home and within the community. This position offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference while working within a supportive and experienced team environment.
