Job summary

Maidstone Complex SCP, part of CCH, is seeking a care professional to provide patient, calm support in the client’s home environment in Folkestone. You will tailor your approach to meet the client’s needs, stay safety-conscious, and work closely with the family and care team to ensure well-being.

We offer full training with paid induction, DBS coverage, and opportunities for progression within the group. A vehicle may be beneficial due to geographic location of the role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the care sector is required.
• Must have business insurance for your mode of transport.

Responsibilities

• Provide close supervision in the community to ensure the client’s well-being at all times.
• Respond to medical emergencies such as seizures with calm and professional conduct.
• Collaborate with the client’s mother and wider care team to maintain high-quality, consistent care within the agreed home environment.

Shifts:Days only -8 am - 6 pm (Tuesday) and2 x 6-hour shifts (Monday & Friday 10 am - 4 pm)

Access to a vehicle is required due to the geographical location of the role

What you'll do

The ideal candidate will be a patient, calm, and adaptable individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor their approach to meet the client's unique needs. They will be observant, safety-conscious, and capable of providing close supervision in the community to ensure the client's well-being at all times.

Compassion, professionalism, and the ability to maintain clear boundaries are essential, particularly when managing challenging behaviours or navigating sensitive topics. Reliability and consistency are key, offering structure and reassurance while remaining confident in responding to medical emergencies such as seizures.

Strong teamwork and communication skills are also vital, enabling effective collaboration with the client's mother and the wider care team to ensure high-quality, consistent care within the agreed home environment.
