Sandwell Council is looking to recruit a Care Assistant to join our team at Willow Gardens Extra Care Service.
This rewarding role involves providing high-quality care and support to adults aged 55 and over, including individuals with physical disabilities, mental health needs and dementia. You will help people maintain their independence, dignity and wellbeing while supporting them to live fulfilling lives within an Extra Care setting.
Alongside providing personal care where required, you will support residents to take part in a wide range of social, recreational and wellbeing activities. These may include creative arts, celebrations and events throughout the year, gentle exercise sessions, games, bingo, entertainment and community outings.
You will work as part of a committed team, helping to deliver personalised support that reflects the values and standards expected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The post is currently 18 hours per week over four days and may be subject to change to meet service requirements:
Flexibility is required to work Bank Holidays and other shifts as needed by the service.
